Which AEO or GEO agencies work with legal tech companies?
Six of the 107 agencies in our AEO Agency Index publish a page for legal tech software that offers AI search work: AuthorityTech, Austin Heaton, DerivateX, Lemniscate, MV3 Marketing and The Rank Collective. That is a small field next to cybersecurity, which has 20 such pages. Three of the six publish a price, two name a legal tech client on the page, and none publishes a rule about taking your competitor. 1 2
AEO and GEO agencies work to get a software company named and cited in AI answers, so that when a lawyer or a legal operations lead asks an assistant which contract tool to use, the answer includes you.
How was this list built?
We scanned the sitemaps of all 107 agencies in the AEO Agency Index for addresses naming legal software, contract management or law, and read the pages in a browser that respected each site's robots rules. A page qualified if it sits in the agency's services or industries section and is written for companies that sell legal software. Its body also had to name AI search work: AEO, GEO, AI search, or getting named or cited by AI assistants. Every listed page was read twice. 2
Three legal pages were read and left out. One was written for law firms, one was a guide to choosing an agency, and one mentioned AEO and GEO only in its site menu and a company description. MV3 Marketing's separate contract management page returned a regional block, so we did not read it. Prices come from the index, read twice on 3 November, and are the lowest monthly figure on each agency's whole site.

| Lemniscate 10 | Not published | Search, AI answers and account-based programmes for legal and procurement tech. |
| MV3 Marketing 11 | $2,997 | Legal tech marketing, usually starting from a GEO audit. |
| Salienz (us) | $5,499 | AI visibility for contract lifecycle management and legal ops software, one client per product sub-niche. 3-month minimum, audit included. |
| The Rank Collective 12 | $3,500 | A GEO planning framework for legal tech. |
Is the page written for legal software or for law firms?
Check this first, because the word legal covers both. Some agencies in the index sell AI search work to law firms, and one of the legal pages we read was written for them. A firm that knows how people choose a lawyer may know little about how a general counsel, a legal operations lead and a procurement team choose contract software together. Lemniscate's page is built around that committee, naming the general counsel, the chief procurement officer, finance and the IT team that owns the platform.
The pages also show which questions each agency expects your buyers to ask AI. DerivateX writes about countering the answer that tells a lawyer to just use free ChatGPT, and treats how AI describes your hallucination accuracy as something to measure each month. AuthorityTech works through legal trade press, naming Law360, Bloomberg Law and Artificial Lawyer. 9 8
What proof do legal tech agency pages show?
Two of the six name a legal tech client. Austin Heaton says he helped Pactvera, a contract management and compliance platform, appear in AI answers alongside DocuSign within 11 days. Lemniscate names Aavenir, an AI contract management product built on ServiceNow, and says 90 to 95 percent of its results came inbound. Both are the agencies' own accounts, so ask to speak to the client. 7 10
MV3 Marketing shows six anonymised legal tech case studies and composite testimonials drawn from three engagements, and it labels them that way. An anonymised result is still harder to check than a named one. The Rank Collective's page is a planning framework and says plainly that it is not research or a client case study. 11 12
Will a legal tech agency also work for your competitor?
None of the six publishes a rule against it on the pages we read, which covered each agency's legal tech page and its home, pricing, services, about and FAQ pages. Across the five industry lists we built this month, two of 33 agencies publish such a rule. AY Rank takes one client per category per market, and MADX Digital offers one client per category on its Enterprise tier. Neither has a legal tech page. 4 5
Two contract management clients of one agency would be chasing the same answers. Ask whether the agency works with any contract, e-signature or legal ops vendor today, and put the answer in the contract. Our earlier read of exclusivity terms is in AEO agencies that take only one client per category. 6
How do the five industries compare?
We read the same 107 agencies for five industries with the same rule. The field is widest for fintech and narrowest for regtech, and the competitor rule is rare everywhere.
| Industry | Agencies with a page | Median entry price | Publish a price | Publish a competitor rule |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fintech and finance software | 30 | $3,750 | 20 | 2 |
| Cybersecurity | 20 | $4,250 | 11 | 0 |
| Legal tech | 6 | $3,500 | 3 | 0 |
| Recruiting software | 6 | $4,000 | 4 | 0 |
| Regtech | 3 | $1,000 (one price) | 1 | 0 |
