Seven AI engines answered 100 buyer questions a day for a week. On the 90 that leave Anagram's name out, 149 of 3,971 answers name it and 96 of those recommend it. In 703 answers about choosing an EHR, it is never named.
Scores are the share of answers, out of 100, in which an engine names Anagram in its own sentences. A link to its site without the name is counted separately.
| Stage | Questions | Names the company | Share of answers naming it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Learning | 27 | No | 1.2 |
| Comparing | 30 | No | 4.9 |
| Buying | 18 | No | 8.7 |
| Running it | 15 | No | 0.1 |
| By name | 10 | Yes | 98.7 |
Of the 100 questions we track, 27 are asked while a practice is learning how vision billing works, 30 while it compares tools, 18 once it is ready to buy and 15 once a system is running. None of those 90 carries Anagram's name. An engine names it in 1.2% of the learning answers, 4.9% of the comparing answers and 8.7% of the buying ones. On running a system, 1 answer in 661 names it.
The closer a practice gets to buying, the more often the name comes up. The ten questions that do carry its name are answered with it in 438 of 444.
“How does vision billing work?”
“Popular options built specifically for eye care include Eyefinity (now part of VSP), Compulink, RevolutionEHR, Crystal PM, and MaximEyes.”
“Which tools should we look at?”
“The best alternatives to Eyefinity OfficeMate are RevolutionEHR, Crystal PM, Compulink, and MaximEyes.”
“Which one do we pick?”
“The leading optometry-specific systems are generally considered to be RevolutionEHR, Compulink Advantage, Eyefinity, Crystal PM, and MaximEyes.”
“How do we post this payment?”
“Most practice management or optical retail systems (e.g., Office Mate, Crystal PM, Eyefinity, RevolutionEHR, or a billing clearinghouse like Availity/Waystar) can auto-post ERAs by matching the payer claim control number back to the original claim.”
“Is Anagram right for us?”
“Choose Anagram if: You already use an EHR you like (or want a carrier-neutral tool) and your front desk is drowning in insurance verification bottlenecks, out-of-network calculations, and claim denials.”
Each column is one tracked question, and its height is the share of answers to it that name Anagram, across the seven engines and the seven days. A question that scores zero is drawn as a short stub so it can still be counted.

The set is 100 questions, sent to every engine every day. Perplexity returned only 5 and 38 answers on 7 and 8 October and a few other runs came back short, so the totals run a little short of a full week. Ninety leave Anagram's name out, because a practice's shortlist forms before it knows the vendor. The ten that carry it are there to watch how Anagram is described once it is found.
The 90 fall into nine topics, from vision plan billing to EHR selection. Twelve of them name a competitor, as alternatives and head-to-head questions do. 40 of the 100 are marked as the ones to go after first.
8 of ChatGPT's 700 answers also replied to a second question that our tool merged in, usually on an unrelated subject. They stay in every answer count, because the tool counted them, and the 73 citations that belong to those other subjects are left out of the source tables. One of them is among the 149: it answered a question about billing companies inside a question about revenue cycle management.
90 leave Anagram's name out, in grey. 10 carry it, in colour.
51 of the 90 rest on evidence from outside Anagram's own site. They hold 61 of the 149 answers that name it.
39 come only from what Anagram's site says it does, so demand for them is unproven. They hold 88 of the 149, which is a reason to read that count with care.
Our tool rates goanagram.com at 55 out of 100 or better on 55 of the 90. 41 of those never produce an answer naming Anagram.
12 name a competitor. 8 answers to them name Anagram, nearly all on questions asking for alternatives.

Across the 3,440 answers to questions that name no vendor, RevolutionEHR is named in 25.6% and Eyefinity in 25.5%. Compulink follows at 16.9%, Crystal PM at 14.8% and MaximEyes at 8.9%. Anagram is named in 4.1%, sixth of the eleven brands we track.
Those five sell the system a practice runs on, and Anagram sits beside it. Of the 149 answers that name it, 20 make it the top pick, 76 recommend it in a short list, 48 list it as one option and 5 mention it in passing. The reason given is usually the same: vision insurance eligibility, benefits and claims across plans. Several say outright that it is not a full EHR.

“Which is the best EHR and why?”
“OON with Vision Plans & Anagram”
Anagram was named in 17 to 31 answers a day, between 3.0% and 4.9% of what the engines returned. That is too narrow a band to read a direction from.
The last day ran short: on 9 October three engines returned few or no answers, so it rests on 364 answers against 544 to 629 on the first six. Seven days gives a baseline. A direction takes a month of readings.
One scale per panel. The shaded day ran on fewer answers.

No work has started, and this is the shape it would take. Anagram can stay what it is and still be in the answer when a practice picks an EHR. Today it is in none of those 703.
The twelve weeks publish against the questions Anagram misses today and settle the two facts the engines disagree on: which systems it works with, and what it costs.
In the order it ships. Week twelve re-runs the whole set.
Each answer stands on its own, with the numbers and the dates it rests on, so it can be quoted without the charts. Every figure comes from the same read as the rest of the page.
Between 3 and 9 October 2026, seven AI engines answered 90 eye care buyer questions that leave Anagram's name out. They named Anagram in 149 of 3,971 answers, on 21 of the 90 questions. On questions that name no vendor, it was named in 4.1% of answers, against 25.6% for RevolutionEHR and 25.5% for Eyefinity.
On questions that name no vendor, RevolutionEHR was named in 25.6% of answers and Eyefinity in 25.5%. Compulink, Crystal PM and MaximEyes followed at 16.9%, 14.8% and 8.9%. Anagram was sixth of the eleven brands tracked, at 4.1%.
Of the 149 answers that named Anagram without being asked about it, 20 made it the top pick and 76 recommended it in a short list. They recommend it for one job: checking eligibility and benefits and filing claims across vision plans, usually beside the EHR a practice already runs.
Anagram was named in none of the 703 answers about choosing an EHR or practice management system, none of the 178 about what billing software or services cost, none of the 222 about denials and none of the 132 about payment posting. On head-to-head comparisons of other vendors it was named in 1 of 220.
ChatGPT named Anagram in 8.6% of its answers to questions that name no vendor, Gemini in 6.0% and Google AI Overviews in 4.9%. Google AI Mode, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot were at 3.4%, 2.6% and 2.0%. Claude was lowest at 0.6%.
2.5 out of 100, with a 95% range of 1.1 to 4.1. The Salienz Score grades every answer the way a buyer reads it, from 1.0 for a top pick down to 0.05 for a bare source link. On the same scale RevolutionEHR scored 14.2 and ABB Verify 0.4.
With our tracking tool, which asked 100 buyer questions every day for seven days on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Microsoft Copilot, against ten fixed rivals. It read 4,415 answers and traced 31,051 citations. A brand counts as named only when the answer says it in its own sentences.
